Hineni requests that all camp participants wear clothes that facilitate sun-safety and accord with the Jewish principle of tzniut (modesty).
This means that participants should cover their shoulders at all times, and shorts and skirts should end just above the knee.
Singlets, midriff tops, short-shorts and short skirts should be left at home.
Hineni also requests that participants wear a tshirt and boardshorts over their swimming costumes while swimming.
Boys should cover their heads at all times, either with a kippah or a hat.
Finally, to prevent injury, closed shoes must be worn around the campsite. This includes shoes worn on Shabbat.
If you have any questions about appropriate clothing for camp, please feel free to contact our Roshim.
